Sing for Care

Collective

A free, all-ages community choir bringing music and connection to care facilities

SING FOR CARE COLLECTIVE is a community-based music program designed to raise awareness of the profound impact music can have on emotional, physical, cognitive and social well-being. Through this experience, participants and partners gain a deeper appreciation for the role of professional music therapy services in healthcare and community settings.

WHAT IS MUSIC THERAPY?

Music Therapy is the clinical & evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program. For more information, please click here or visit musictherapy.org

-No audition or experience required

DISCLAIMER: While this program is not a clinical music therapy service, it helps communities experience the emotional and social impact of music—opening the door to deeper understanding of professional music therapy services.

 

Sing for Care Collective is a program of Remedies in Rhythm Foundation, a 501c(3) nonprofit dedicated to increasing access to music therapy services.

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
When:
Thursdays - starting February 5th, 2026 | 7:00–8:00 PM
Location: Remedies in Rhythm | 6232 River St. Alanson, MI 49706

Cost: Free
Who: Open to all ages and experience levels | no auditions required

OUTREACH "Performances"

-Every 3 months - Quarterly - (Second Saturday of March, June, September, December - Time(s) TBD)

-Multiple facility visits

-*Depending on the size of the choir, we may have to split into smaller groups. 12 persons/facility.

-Same setlist rotated for several facilities. Setlist will change every quarter.

HOW CAN I SUPPORT THIS PROJECT? 

Sing for Care Collective is powered by community. Whether you love to sing, organize, drive, or create behind the scenes, there’s a role for you.

TRANSPORTATION SUPPORT

  • Driving choir members or equipment to care facilities

FINDING SPONSORSHIPS / PRIVATE DONATIONS

  • All proceeds go directly towards music therapy programming in local facilities

  • Find our donation link here

MUSIC & MATERIALS SUPPORT

  • Creating and organizing music folders

  • Printing lyrics in large-font format

  • Preparing seasonal repertoire packets​

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

  • Attendance check-in

  • Email reminders and sign-ins

  • Helping maintain volunteer lists

SOCIAL MEDIA CREATION

  • Photography/Videography Creation (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok etc). 

​Any donations of black 1" binders and black folding chairs would be greatly appreciated.
